EAST LIVERPOOL – The East Liverpool Boys Bowling Team will compete in the United States National High School Championship, certified by the United States Bowling Congress, June 19-21 at Poelking Lanes South in Dayton.

The Potters qualified for the national tournament by reaching the Div. II state tournament in February.

All members of the state’s bowling tournament team, including senior graduates, are eligible to play in the U.S. High School National Championship. The Potters qualifying bowling team were Gavin Maze, Anthony DeMarco, Logan Simms, Derek Klein, Paxton Grimes, Nathan Kelly and Jordan Wolf. This team finished 10th in the state. The team is coached by Lori DeMarco and Jeremy Maze.

East Liverpool are expected to compete in the singles and team events.

Bowlers representing 18 states are registered for the tournament.
