A number of HBCUs were represented in the candidate pool, including:

  • Alabama A&M University
  • Alabama State University
  • Howard University
  • Miles College
  • Shelton State Community College

Powered by the Alabama Center for Real Estate (ACRE), CORE is a program of the REimagined initiative. Their goal is to empower more than 100,000 young adults of color in the real estate industry by 2030, and CORE is the first step in making this a reality.

ACRE enjoys strong support from the real estate industry, as well as some major community partners. Other partners will soon be recognized. This support has helped fund scholarships that change lives, already totaling more than $ 350,000! The Founder’s campaign ends on December 31 and continues to welcome new partners at this time.

Founding partners include:

“Guided by its mission to elevate Alabama, the Alabama Power Foundation is committed to closing the gaps in inequality and creating a better Alabama for all. That’s why the foundation supports the Alabama Center for Real Estate CORE program in its efforts to make diversity in real estate a reality.

—Zeke Smith, Executive Vice President, Alabama Power

“The CREW Network, in accordance with our strategic plan, is proud to play a leadership role in this initiative as a founding partner and contributor to the program. In addition to our financial commitment, we will take action by lending our time, talent and expertise to create a more diverse talent pool in the industry. CREW Network members will engage with HBCU women through mentoring, learning circles, and speaking and content opportunities. This is a revolutionary partnership and alignment that will have a huge impact on the industry and workforce of the future, and CREW is committed to being at the forefront.
