The median sale price of a home sold in Horry County is currently $ 245,569.

Horry County is the fastest growing county in the state with a total population of 350,000 and continues to grow.

FAST ADVANCE 5 YEARS

The Gen X generation is not as tall as the Baby Boomers. This generation is about 10 years away from retirement. However, Sorry County is not in their prime states for retirement.

IT’S WORSE – MILLENNIALS

The top 10 states where millennials buy homes include:

1. Denver, Colorado

Denver recorded the largest net migration of millennials with 10,974 millennials moving to the city from another state in 2019, making roughly 33% of Denver’s population millennials.

2. Seattle, Washington

Seattle recorded a net out-of-state migration of 6,164 millennials, making it 34% of the city’s population.

3. Phoenix, Arizona

Phoenix recorded a net migration of 5,958 millennials. Twenty-three percent of the city’s population were post-migration millennials.

4. Austin, Texas

Austin recorded a net migration of 5,686 millennials from out of state, making it 31% of the city’s population.

5. Colorado Springs, Colorado

Colorado Springs recorded a net migration of 5,050 millennials out of state in 2019. Millennials made up about 24% of the city’s population.

6. Frisco, Texas

Frisco, which is located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, recorded a net migration of 3,516 millennia out of state in 2019, for a total of about 19% of the city’s population.

7. Cary, North Carolina

Cary, which is about 15 minutes west of Raleigh, recorded a net migration of 3,364 millennia out of state in 2019. No data was available on the Millennial population.

8. Portland, Oregon

Portland has recorded a net migration of 3,311 millennia out of the state, making it up to about 29% of the city’s population.

9. Henderson, Nevada

Henderson, which is about 25 minutes from downtown Las Vegas, recorded a net migration of 3,042 millennials out of state in 2019. Millennials made up about 20% of the city’s population.

10. Cape Coral, Florida

Cape Coral, which is about 20 minutes from Fort Meyers and is located on the Gulf Coast, recorded a net migration of 2,666 millennials out of the state in 2019. Millennials made up about 18% of the population of the city.
