VANCOUVER – The Kelso punchers took to the Big Al bowling alley on Wednesday and picked up a 1769-1569 win over Camas in 3A/4A women’s bowling action.
The Hilanders won both individual sets with a strong team effort. Emily Strehle set expectations with a combined score of 492. In her second game, Strehle started with a reserve before taking nine straight strikes to finish on 277. For the season, Strehle averaged a score of 198.
Kai Patton finished with a personal best 280 on the day with two games of 140. Cassey Wray added 258 points in the win. Lindsay Walker was next with a combined score of 256 and Lydda Aguilar finished with 217.
Camas was paced by Cassie Templer. She scored a 192 in the first game and finished on 310 in the combined scores.
Kelso won the first Baker Game 139-128 before leaving his host a few crumbs in the second round tag team once the outcome of the match was clear.
Kelso ends the regular season with an 11-7 team record. The Hilanders were due to be back in action from 9am Friday at Hazel Dell Lanes for the 3A/4A District IV tournament.
